The Battlezone 2 Model Editor (also known as threed) allows you to edit BZ2 models which are in the XSI format. Many modders find BZ2ME handy for cut-and-paste editing which involves copying a part of one model and pasting it to a new model, assembling an entirely new model from pieces of other models.

More advanced modelers will find it handy for doing quick edits such as moving and renaming model elements such as hardpoints.

BZ2ME is not recommended for editing animated models.

Note: When working with XSI files, BZ2 will need to convert it to an MSH file before it is actually used in the game. If changes to the XSI models are not taking effect, you may need to clear out the old generated MSH from the /data/bindata folder.
